Available now is the new Tremoflex, a flexible tremolo arm for your Fender Stratocaster or Strat style guitar.
Made from a combination of steel, brass, and nylon copolymer rod, the bendable nature of the Tremoflex arm changes the possible span of notes covered by a standard tremolo arm, generally reducing it by half. This 'downshift' turns an 8 fret dive bomb into a 4 fret playground, helping to enhance the creative function of a tremolo arm used in that range. It also allows more physical expression and note control for the guitarist, as more pronounced arm actions are used to cover the same step changes. This expanded movement provides a greater nuance for playing around and between the notes.
The Tremoflex also helps the player create different tone dynamics when doing rapid style vibratos. The fast increase and decrease of the tension on the strings is smoothed out by this arm's flexibility, resulting in unique and interesting sound dynamics.
A couple other features; Even though the flexible arm action may be more animated, it is actually less aggressive towards the bridge and strings, Also, using different parts of the arm changes its dynamic. (The end is more flexible than the base). It is also 3/4” longer and thirty percent lighter than a standard tremolo bar.
The Tremoflex is currently available in three different thread styles, including 5mm, 6mm and 10-32, so whatever type of Strat you have, you're covered!
